From structure to sound to sculpture, the Rocking Desk encompasses a wide variety of sound spheres: from traditional drum sounds as well as microscopic details and tonal feedbacks. As I continue to experiment with the development of an electrified drum kit, I saw the limits of classical midi drums and motivated me to break new ground in the interaction between analog and electric sound generation. Playing these instrument with a series of modified mallets, I am able to have the interaction between the analog and electronic sound generation.
